Yay, Today was fantastic | Julie Taylor

Hello Foxy friends.

I've been having a play with some bits out the June Fox Box & a few stencils out the store. I love that the stencils are always there, to fall back upon, & there's always one, or in my case two, that fit the theme of your page.

Looking at the June Fox Box it doesn't scream travel but that's how I've used it for this layout.

I decided to use Kraft cardstock, for a change, & I think it goes well with the slight nautical look!! I trimmed it down to 11x11 & stitched it onto some patterned paper & then set about adding my stencilling. I used Fox Cut Stencil #35 Waves down the bottom to mimic the sea & Fox Cut Stencil #19 Thin Sunburst above.. I inked the waves in different colours of blue & outlined each bit to give definition & hand sewed in-between the the sun rays to add some texture.

I added some paper strips across the centre & adhered some ric-rac trim to again mimic the waves. My photo cluster was then added over the top of this, tucking in the mint frame, yay flag, rosette & 2 of the black word strips out the Fox Box.

I've also managed to tuck in a zip die cut that gives a lovely decorative edge & brings in some more black to tie in with the word strips.

Thanks for joining me today.

Until next time
