Wish You Were Here Right Now | Cheryl Gerhard
Hi all! I hope you're having a lovely day!
This month's patterned paper challenge was definitely a challenge for me, as I find them quite hard to use. Starting with a blank canvas is usually what I prefer, but I am so glad I challenged myself to use a patterned paper for this month! This will be the start of many more layouts I believe.
I used Peaceful Heart by Jen Hadfield, as the autumn colours of this collection went so well with the leaf perspextives. I chose quite a busy pattern, but as it went with my theme of leaves I thought it worked out quite well.
My title for this layout is Wish You Were Here Right Now - The right now perspextive sits right on top of my photos and I like how it stands out. The photos I used were taken in New York a few years ago in winter, but I thought they still looked quite autumnal and I thought I can get away with them!
I added a few floral elements, gold thread and a couple of drops of black ink, for the finishing touch.
I hope you like this layout and it will give you inspiration for using patterned paper. Such a fun challenge and I cannot wait to see whatcreate! :)
