Using stencils layout | Julie Taylor

Do you use stencils much on your pages? Have you checked out Bramble Fox stencils? We have loads in store & more being added every month!!!

I love a stencil & how it can give you loads of unique backgrounds by using different methods, ink, texture paste, layering stencils, the list is endless!! I've used two different ways on this layout using 2 new stencils.

I wanted the compass stencil #96 to stand out so used texture paste & once dry went around it with a grey fineliner pen & added a bit of ink, which helped it pop from the page.

The other stencilling i did is very subtle & not at first noticeable.

I used stencil #95 Travel Borders to add some tone on tone stencilling to the top & side of the page. I again out lined it with grey fineliner pen but this blends in more which was the look i wanted, just to add interest to the background.

I then built up the rest of my page using an older collection of perspextives that went perfectly with the new stencils.

Thanks for joining me today.

Until next time,
