Today! - Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! here is my first layout for March using some of the March Foxbox perspextives and also some of the new word perspextives. My photo was from an unexpected day of fun with friends which was totally unplanned, (sometimes these days are the best!) and so these words all expressed how the day was.
I am trying to stash bust this year so found some older Simple Stories papers and some papers from past Hip Kit Collections which were good colour matches to my photo. Ive noticed several layouts too with the fan shapes arranged and actually based the design on a layout I had made last July but i changes the orientation of it.
I gutted a piece of 12x12 paper from Pink Fresh Studio Let's Stay Home Collection to make a border piece, and trimmed my white card stock by 1cm on two sides and attached it to the border piece.
I placed the square photo centrally, having matted it I raised it on sticky fixers, and then started to create the layout around it. I tied twine around the bottom of the photo with two mini heart charms.
Having cut several fan shapes in different papers I distressed their edges and sewed around them. I arranged them in a large fan shape to the right of the photo and attached them with sticky fixers for dimension. Then I added the perspextives to these fan shapes and adhered them with glossy accents.
To the left of the photo I added a couple of edge strips, one I punched with the notepad punch , I added a couple of tabs over the top, and a journal card I had with a beach scene background. I journaled on this.
I fussy cut lots of flowers from the Simple Stories paper and tucked them under the edges of the fans of paper and around the journal card. I then added splatters round the edge using distress oxides in Broken China and Scattered Straw and three mini heart perspextives .
It was lovely to document a memory literally a couple of days later while it was fresh in my mind.
I hope you will feel inspired to check out all the latest perspextives over at httpswww.bramblefox.co.uk/ and dont forget to post your layouts on the Bramblefox friends facebook page.
Till next time ... Happy Scrapping!
