Today Was Rated Excellent A4 Layout Using the Fox Box | Rebecca Meadows

This A4 layout has lots of hexagons and tags. I had great fun with this scrapbook layout. I chose to use lots of the hexagon products which are currently available in the Bramble Fox shop.

I started by selecting a photo of my son that would fit within one of the hexagon templates. I cut the photo out and matted it on the black cardstock.

Then I cut out a further three hexagons. A medium and a small sized hexagon from the same patterned paper, the third is a large hexagon but I made this into just the outline of the hexagon.

I backed each of these with black card stock to help them stand out against the white background.

I used Stencil #64 which is the hexagon mask, and began using Tim Holtz ink to build up the background.

I used both Frayed Burlap and a small amount of Aged Mahogany.

I wanted the stencilling to be light and blend into the back so I used the mini blending brushes to lightly add the colour.

I used zig repositional glue to stick the hexagons in place. This is one of my most used glues. I spend a lot of time moving things around my layout, so this glue works really well for me.

I began to build up the cluster at the bottom of my layout.

I tucked a tag behind the small hexagon and began fussycutting some Autumn leaves from snips #41 and added these to the clusters.

My title is from the September Fox Box. This is a gorgeous Duck Egg Blue and matches perfectly with my layout.

To finish, I embellished with Mini Hexagons in coordinating colours and added a small splattering of brown ink.

Thank you for taking a look at my layout.

Please check out the new products in the shop and if you are interested in subscribing to the Fox Box or Fox Box+, you will find the details here.
