The Cat's Whiskers | Debbi Tehrani
Hey, Bramble Fox Friends! I've got a super-fun layout for you today, featuring some of the fabulous brand-new cat-themed products in the shop, along with some other goodies in the shop (believe it or not, I used 12 separate Bramble Fox products in all!). Even though I have cats of my own, I've been dying to scrap this photo of my friend. (Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products look a bit larger on my pages.)
I used a sketch from the Little Book of Scrapbook Ideas Volume 1 as inspiration for my page design. I've used this little book so many times since I got it. It's just crammed full of inspiration and is perfect for on the go or for just keeping on your desk for when you have scrapper's block. Scrapper's block can be very frustrating, but this little book is the perfect solution!
How gorgeous is the title? It's from the Cattitude set, and it includes two awesome titles. The tab, circular flair, and phrase snips are all from Paper Snips 023 | Cat. I made my own paper snip saying "cat got your tongue" on my computer.
I started out my layout by adding sunbursts on either side of my layout using my favorite Fox Cut Stencil #18. The little stenciled fish that coordinate with the Fish Perspextives were added to the background using the new Blending Brushes that are smaller than the typical blending brushes and are perfect for detail stenciling. I used the awesome Torn Edge Template to make three layers of patterned paper at the top. This tool is worth its weight in gold--makes perfect tears every time. And how adorable are the cat images from the Paper Snips? Just add Epoxy Stickers to the tops and you've got epoxy flair! Since I had so many little details on this small page, I used a fine-tip pen to add dashed lines and outlining on my paper snips and tags to give them definition.
As I only had one photo to work with, I used a large tag in place of the second photo in the sketch and adorned it with smaller tags that I created with Fox Dies #6|Tags and a small "meow" Perspextive from the Cat Accessories pack as well as a red heart Perspextive from my stash (as you may know, I always include hearts on the pages I give away).
Have you seen all the cool new products in the Bramble Fox Bazaar? So many unique bits and bobs in there! I added a tassel from my stash to the large tag using one of the Pins from the Bazaar--I just love the unique shape of these safety pins! I created a border at the bottom of my layout by stitching some patterned paper strips and adding a zipper border made with the Fox Dies #13 | Pocket Zip. A couple of phrase strips from the cat Paper Snips and a food bowl from the Cat Accessories finished off the bottom of my layout--the sketch had this element in the center of the page, but I put mine on the right.
The Cat Collection was seriously fun to work with! I can't wait to see what everyone makes with these fun feline embellishments! Be sure to share your creations with us by tagging us on Instagram and sharing in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook Group. Until next time, have fun scrapping!
