Sunkissed | Rebecca Meadows
Morning Friends, thank you for taking a look at my blog post and layout.
This is my first layout using the fantastic August fox box.
This fox box has beautiful colours and a wonderful summery theme to it.
I have also used Holy Moly, Stencil #61 and pom pom trim from the shop. I love these extra little bits, they make embellishing really easy.
I began this layout by trimming 1.5 cms off the top and one side of my A4 cardstock then matted it onto a patterned, pink paper.
I gutted this before sticking it so that I could use the same pink paper in my layout.
Next, I worked on my background. I used stencil #61 and Nuevo paste to add texture and interest to the background.
I started to fussycut florals. I chose papers that had lots of pink in them so that they would match the trousers that my daughter is wearing in the photo.
I used repositional glue on the back of my florals and stuck them onto the layout.
I wanted to use these as a guide as my plan was to have two main clusters.
I cut some strips of paper and tucked them into the floral clusters.
Once I was happy with where they were, I stuck them down with permanent glue.
I matted my photo and added this to the top cluster.
At this point, I felt that my layout needed more texture.
So I added some strips of pom-pom trim. This made all the difference to the visual effect of the layout. Giving it both dimension and the pop of colour that it needed.
I added my title ‘Sunkissed’ to the bottom cluster on my page.
This is from August Fox Box, the wordfetti is too. Wordfetti is my new favourite product, it is much easier than journaling!!
To finish, I added Holy Moly into my clusters and a small geo tag above the photo.
Take a look at the New Products available in the shop.
Morag has been very busy designing and there are lots of new sets plus a Days Out Collection and a Lovin Summer Workshop Kit.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post… till next time ✂️✂️
Rebecca.
