Summer in St Lucia - Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! I'm sharing my third layout for June and this month I have used the Relax and Summer perspextives from the July Fox Box which should be dropping through your door any day! I have combined the two words using some shorter words in between them on the layout. I have also used two different Fox Cut stencils. I have used Simple Stories Good Stuff collection.
As I was creating a Summer layout I decided to use the Sun Rays Fox Cut #17. I inked this using distress oxides and then used glitter stickles along the edges of each of the rays to add a bit of sparkle! I positioned my photo centrally on the layout just over the edge of the Sun Ray stencilling. I fussy cut some flowers from a paper in the Simple Stories Good Stuff collection and tucked them under the right side of the photo, I raised some of the leaves on sticky fixers to add dimension. On some spare white card stock using Fox Cut #29 and I inked some of the circles (sun bursts) in a green distress oxide. I cut slits in each of the white spaces, to give dimension to them. I positioned them around the photo and tucked them under the flowers and added sticky fixers under alternate segments. I added one of the new flair badges which are part of the new Summer Collection.
I decided to put some yellow stencilled sun bursts at the top and bottom of the layout too, they were off set from the photo and embellishments. I added stickles in between the segments on the yellow ones. On the top one I added the large Relax perspextive and made some words using mini thickers from Pinkfresh Studio.
I then added the gorgeous Summer perspextive across the bottom of my photo and another couple of words using the mini thickers again. I added a couple of fussy cut flower clusters around the perspextives.
Finally to finish off I added some gold splatters using a Heidi Swapp gold spray ink and some yellow splatters using watercolour paint.
I love how the layout turned out and want to show how you can combine different words to make a title.
