Scrapbook Yourself - Wendy Meffan
The Be Your Selfie perspextive (March product) is a great perspextive to choose a photo which just sums you up! I love to have a glass of wine in the Sunshine and this Selfie I took was the perfect picture! I used the Fox Box Plus Stencil #93 and Simple Stories My Story Collection, again very apt for the layout.
I cut down my 12x12 card stock to 10" square and then added a double border using two of the papers in the collection. I distressed the edges of the white cardstock and tore a small gap in the top edge to give some dimension. I started using the Film Strip stencil which is so lush, to create an easy background for my photo. I used Tattered Rose Distress Oxide.
Then I matted my photo and added various tags behind it, both above and below to give a nice layered feel. I distressed all the edges. I then positioned the Be Your Selfie perspextive to the left and created a cluster beside it. I could not believe how well all the colours went together.
To the right of the photo I used a fussy cut cloud from Paper Snips #054 and made a small cluster.
To the top left of the page again using a fussy cut cloud from paper Snips #054 I made another cluster to further embellish.
Finally I threaded string through all the tags, added a few more puffy stickers and ephemera, then I used paint for splatters across the layout.
