Scrapbook Sketch-Inspired Layout | Debbi Tehrani

I just love how a scrapbook sketch is an immediate inspiration booster! I used the Bramble Fox sketch featured in the Marvelous Monday Facebook Live this week and a fabulous title from the July Fox Box to create this fun travel layout.

Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts. I used Simple Stories' Let's Go collection as well as loads of Bramble Fox goodies.

Here's a look at the sketch I used. You can see I modified it a little, using just two photos and substituting the circle for the gorgeous Compass Cut File.

I just love the font in the titles in the July Fox Box, and how about that curvy arrow that forms the y in the title? This title is actually a gorgeous navy blue, but it photographed a bit darker. And since I always add a heart to my layouts that I give away, I chose a matching heart Perspextive to place near my title. Before I added anything to my page, I stenciled the background with an older Bramble Fox stencil. Under the title, I used another stencil, Travel Borders Fox Cut Stencil #95, to add subtitles.

Here's another look at the beautiful Compass Cut File. The detail is just gorgeous. I adhered a die cut from the Let's Go collection on a punched circle of matching cardstock and mounted it in the center with pop dots.

I layered some papers to go behind the photos and included a multicolored filmstrip made with Fox Die #14. The orange pieces at the top of my photos are made with Fox Dies #22 | Office Elements--they add such interest to a photo. Since I was using the camera Woodie from the Fox Box, I wanted to add other wooden embellishments. The tiny airplane came from Travel Icons, which is the sweetest collection of little travel-inspired Perspextives and Woodies in a variety of colors and designs. I added a word in the bottom corner of the photo from the Travel Wordfetti pack.

Here's a look at the awesome camera Woodie in the Fox Box, and I also used a photo topper from Office Elements Fox Dies #22. Just look at the beautiful etching on that camera!

I needed one more Woodie to complete a visual triangle, and I found this sweet geotag from the Travel Icons pack which also served to add another heart to my page. You can see I added some more layers to the vertical paper arrangement using two dies from the Fox Dies #21 | Office Borders, which is a must-have!

Finally, after letting my layout sit overnight before calling it done (a tip I've shared before), I decided to add some tickets and a ribbon tab to the side of the top photo for extra layers and textures.

I hope I've inspired you to play with this fun sketch! And I hope I've inspired you to subscribe to the Fox Box, if you haven't already. This Fox Box ships on July 4. Here's a look at all the gorgeousness in this kit:

Please share your creations with us by tagging us on Instagram and by adding your creations to our Bramble Fox Friends Facebook Group. I can't wait to see what you'll make with this Fox Box!

Until next time, have fun scrapping!
