Pretty Pastels on a 3-Photo Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Some photos just call for pastels, and the April Fox Box Plus, with several pretty pastel titles and delightful pastel Paper Snips was perfect to scrapbook these darling photos. (Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products look a bit larger on my pages.)

I searched my stash for pastels that would go with all the pretty colors in the Paper Snips and found an old Brooke kit by Felicity Jane. Besides the background paper and the papers backing the photos, almost everything on my layout is from the Bramble Fox shop.

My starting point was the pretty blue title Perspextive, which led me to these precious photos. Yes, the word photo in the title isn't plural, but I really wanted to use all three of these sweet pictures, so I wrote my journaling so that the title would make sense. I tucked a translucent pink heart Perspextive from the Warm Heats pack into the O to add a little extra fun to the title.

I backed the photos with distress-edged patterned paper and positioned them so they cascaded down the page. I actually created some patterned papers with solids in the kit I was using and some stamps.

How sweet are these rainbows, clouds, and sun, from the Paper Snips that came with the April Fox Box Plus. The Fox Box in itself is a treasure, but for just a few more pounds, you get the Paper Snips and a fabulous Fox Cut stencil, and Bramble Fox stencils really are the best--the April stencil (not used on this layout, but I used it on this one) is super cool and not to be missed!

I adhered the Paper Snips on pop dots to create dimension, sprinkled some brads and puffy dots, and added some word strips from Paper Snips 001| General, which is a must-have because the words and phrases on this sheet are so versatile--and it also comes with some awesome tabs.

I really wanted to use that cute umbrella from the Paper Snips, and I had already used one on this page, so I didn't have any more rainy day pictures, but I decided to use it anyway because this little girl truly is sunshine personified, so it fits with my journaling. I serendipitously found a small piece of pink translucent ribbon that had fallen on my craft room floor, and when I picked it up to put it away, I decided instead that it would be perfect to tie around the handle of the umbrella. A pale pink heart from the Hearts Special Edition pack was a perfect addition to the umbrella.

One of the tips I like to share is that I leave my layouts overnight before calling them done because I always find a little something that my layout needs. In the case of this layout, I wanted to add a little whimsy with some critters, and I found two puffy sticker bunnies in my stash and added them peeking from behind some of my elements.

The colors of the flowers from Paper Snips 019 | Florals coordinate nicely with the Paper Snips in the April Fox Box. I like adding things to the paper snips for extra dimension and interest, and some pearl brads did the trick with the flowers.

For extra layers, I added pastel blue labels from Paper Snips 043 | Tags and a blue tab that I created with Fox Dies #16 | Paper Snips Labels, which turns many of the Paper Snips into professional die-cuts, or, as I did here, you can make your own custom tabs with cardstock or patterned paper. This is a must-have tool! Another pretty pink heart, from the Warm Hearts pack, added some dimension and an extra texture to this cluster. Clipping a sweet pink paper clip with a dangling tiny tassel adds an extra texture to create more interest.

Make sure you check out the shop to see all the latest additions. I was super excited to see the very latest products that dropped in the shop today, and right into my cart they went!
