Open Book Cut File Layout | Debbi Tehrani
Bramble Fox's Book Worm Cut File is perfect for scrapbooking all things academic, and with back to school around the corner, you're going to want to grab this! I paired this awesome cut file with several fantastic and fun pieces from the September Fox Box (and a handful of other Bramble Fox products) to create this layout celebrating the excitement of my niece's summer academic achievement. Please note that since I scrap 8 x 8, the pieces look a bit larger on my layouts.
I decided primary colors would be best for the photo, so I dug through my stash to find papers and elements to coordinate with the Perspextives and the colors and math/reading/school theme of my layout. I used some old Jenni Bowlin papers (ledger and text patterns) and some odds and ends from my paper scrap drawers.
The starting point for my layout was the "Hip Hip Hooray" title in the Fox Box. What a delightful title this is with its whimsical font and star. I knew I wanted to use the fun emojis in the Fox Box, and I backed them with black cardstock to match the Crate Paper Cool Kid black plus-sign paper I used. The Book Worm Cut File was a perfect element to use for my theme. If you're new to Bramble Fox cut files, you will absolutely love them, as they cut so smoothly and come with backing pieces so you don't have to trace.
Before layering up the photo, I created a background using the stencil that comes in the Fox Box Plus. Adding bits and bobs like tabs, charms, and clips adds fun and interest and texture to a photo. I used two die cuts from the Office Elements Fox Dies 22.
I added another layer with the View Master Reel (Fox Dies #17). Lucky me I found some red paper with numbers in my stash to go with the math theme. The yellow circle behind the plus-sign brad was also cut with the Office Elements Fox Dies. Three speech bubble stickers were a fun way to add my story to the page.
The Talk to the Hand Perspextives, backed with multiple-choice paper, are a perfect complement for my page. This pack comes with 8 brilliant icons in blue and lime (or you can get the monochrome pack that has black and white) to use on several pages. I fussy-cut a pencil from an Amy Tangerine paper to add to the book. I chose to add a metal star to go with the other stars on the page and the metal elements at the top.
I placed another hand with a thumbs-up on the opposite side of the book, and since I always add hearts to the pages I give away, I found a circular heart Perspextive in my stash.
I know you'll just love the September Fox Box, which is filled with a wonderful variety of elements for all styles. Be sure to order soon, as the kit ships on September 4.
