Me Time! - Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! I'm sharing my second layout for April and I'm showcasing some of the perspextives from the May 2022 Fox Box. I have used Pinkfresh Studio Keeping it Real Collection along with some mandala acetates from Hip Kit Club Kits.

A few weeks ago I went away on a Scrapbooking retreat and was able to meet up with some of my scrappy friends I hadn't seen for a long time because of Covid. We all arrived a bit early and were able to sit out in the sunshine and enjoy a bottle of wine together and catch up. It was perfect Me Time.

I started by creating a mixed media background with distress oxides, I chose the Pinkfresh Keeping it Real Collection as the colours in the collection coordinated perfectly with the perspextives. I matted the photo using blue papers from the collection and made it the central feature of the layout.

I made some clusters using flowers, I distressed their edges and raised them on sticky fixers for dimension. I tucked the acetate mandalas behind the floral pieces and then positioned the perspextives over the top of the clusters.

I backed the Enjoy clock with white card stock to make it stand out against the floral background. I distressed the edges of a journal card and tucked in behind the top of the photo with some more flowers and added a title in small letters along with a punched tab.

I then decided to make another cluster at the top of the page, along with the small clock perspextive to balance the layout.

Finally I added pale pink splatters to the layout.
