Loving This | Debbi Tehrani

Hey, Bramble Fox fans! I'm here today with a bold, vibrant layout using some of the gorgeous new Perspextives in the shop and one of my favorite Fox Cut stencils.

I love using bold, vibrant, happy color, and the new speech bubbles and triangles in the orange and fuchsia color scheme were so perfect for the story I wanted to tell on this page of my friend's daughter painting. Vicki Boutin's Sweet Rush collection coordinated wonderfully with these pieces.

Once I had my basic layout design figured out, I knew I needed a little something in the background, and the Fox Cut #30 stencil was that perfect something. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink and a blending brush to apply the ink, outlined them unevenly with a fine-tip pen, and then dabbed gesso with my finger to give the circles a bit more texture and interest.

I fussy-cut some flowers from one of the patterned papers to use as embellishment. As additional embellishments, I stamped some paint brushes on watercolor paper, then painted and fussy-cut them. The plus signs are also from the Triangles pack.

I love adding lots of different textures and details. The printed tag had bullets, and I added some old mini-brads from my stash over top of the bullets, which, along with the baker's twine, gave a flat tag more dimension and interest. The paint tube was also stamped, painted, and fussy cut, and I tucked that into the embellishment cluster. The heart was a Vicki Boutin sticker and added an interesting detail to an open space (I always add at least one heart to the pages I give away). Adhering some of the flowers with pop dots gave them more dimension.

I added a border at the top and bottom of my page and tied some baker's twine on the bottom border to coordinate with the twine in the tag at the top. Some pom-pom trim adds additional texture and whimsy to my layout.. Metal staples contributed still another texture to my page.

I placed a little cluster at the top, with another stamped paint tube and elements in the color scheme of my layout. Finally, Nuvo drops added the last little something to finish off my page.

I just love these vibrant Triangles and Speech Bubbles, and there are lots of other elements in this collection, including Tabs, Bookplates, Slide Mount Frames, Corners, Arrows, and what's even cooler is that they come in a few different color options!
