Lovely Leaves Autumn Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Fall is right around the corner, and the October Fox Box is ready and waiting for you to scrap all those photos you'll be taking of the beautiful fall foliage, pumpkin spice lattes, and all the autumn traditions. The stencil from the October Fox Box Plus is to-die-for gorgeous, and I couldn't resist using it as the focal point of my layout. Those lovely large leaves, paired with the shimmery title Perspextive I used from the Fox Box are a match made in heaven! (Please note that since I scrap 8 x 8, the products look a bit larger on my layouts.)

Just look at this gorgeous title piece! The dual fonts are absolutely stunning, and this piece turns different shades of shimmery gold as you turn it in the light. You can see it's got a subtle glittery sparkle in this picture:

I tend to use white for a background, but I decided to go with a cream cardstock to complement the warm tones of autumn. I created my background with Fox Cut Stencil#106 from the September Fox Box and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. For the stenciled leaves, I used 4 colors of Distress Ink: Crackling Campfire Oxide, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Wild Honey Oxide. I created the acorns with Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. Then I cut them out. I love how they look on the textured cardstock. I think autumn layouts call for lots of texture!

Speaking of texture, I inked and roughed up the edges of papers from Carta Bella's Fall Market and Welcome Autumn collections, tied some shimmery cord down the side, tucked in some mesh created with Barbed Wire Fox Dies #4, and added an awesome distressed Film Strip Border from my favorite Fox Dies #20. I made sure all the solid cardstock I was using was textured. Then, I added leaves in different textures near the title from the Paper Snips in the Fox Box Plus and a Woodie leaf and a Perspextive leaf from Leaves Galore. Metal staples to secure the cord added yet another texture, as did the Pinkfresh bronze metallic pearls.

I added a coppery flower charm which I thought had a nice fall flavor to the cord. The word strips I used on the photos are from the Paper Snips in the Fox Box Plus.

Finally, I added a cluster at the bottom using a View Master Reel from Fox Dies #20 as a base, along with a copper-rimmed brad, a heart Perspextive from Hearts Galore to match the title, and some metallic pearls.

I hope I've given you some ideas for this gorgeous Autumn-themed Fox Box. I can't wait to see what you'll make! And if you're not yet a subscriber--you'll want to grab this beautiful kit soon--it ships on the 3rd of the month.
