Lovely Day Scrapbook Layout - Wendy Meffan
The Lovely Day perspextive in the May Fox Box is such a versatile title and was perfect for documenting a 70th Birthday lunch. I was able to incorporate the Viewmaster Reel Die #017 as well as the Essential Elements -Spring Collection. From my stash i found a purple VW Camper Van perspextive in the Mini Travel icons which was ideal for the theme of my layout.
The lunch I went to was themed between 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's all relevant to my friends lives. From this theme I chose to make my photos circular and use the Viewmaster Die #017 to embellish in glitter paper, thus continuing the theme of the party to my layout! I chose to use 5 photos and mounted them on white paper and then again on patterned background papers in keeping with the colours in the photos. I distressed all the edges, having positioned them on the page I then added embellishments around them, the first being the Lovely Day perspextive.
The purple Camper Van and Speech Bubbles perspextives from the Crafty Talk Collection (available now in the shop - May Products) were perfect embellishments.
I placed another Speech Bubble over the main photo which again was so apt as my two friends have been friends for Life. I also tucked in some die cuts from the Viewmaster die around the photos. You can also see the tiny Arrows from the Essential Elements Spring collection which I added alongside of three of the photos.
To finish the layout I punched lots of daisies and added enamel dots to their centres. They were a great match to my friend's dress! I also found a few random embellishments in my stash to add which were suitable for the theme of the layout.
This is not a typical layout for my style but I love how it turned out and captured the theme of a Lovely Day.
Till next time I hope you will be inspired to use perspextives slightly out of context and play with those gorgeous dies!
Happy Scrapping!
