Lots of love | Cheryl Gerhard
Hey Bramble Fox friends
It’s Cheryl here today with this cute Valentine’s layout I created for this month’s challenge. We had to follow a recipe and add:
Die cuts
Perspextives
Stickers
Paper Tearing
Fussy Cutting

I used the Heart Eyes collection by Simple Stories to create this very pink layout. I started by adding two lines of wonky sewing around my edges (I usually do this at the end) and used white acrylic paint to break up the patterned background paper and give myself a base for my photo that I am documenting. You guessed right! It’s one of Lexie and I, taken with a Valentine’s filter last year. I thought this was the perfect photo for this occasion.

I have started by cutting several pieces of patterned paper in alternating colours (black / pink / black etc) and distressed the edges and layered them behind my photo along with a white doily. I’ve also been tearing one of the papers and zigzag stitched it onto my cluster. The tag on the top right is one I fussy cut from a 12x12 sheet and that’s tucked behind my photo with a bit of seam binding for extra texture.

I have sprinkled lots of stickers and die cuts around my photo, which I have angled towards the left, so I have plenty of space for my perspextive title (available here) on the right. I have accented it with a little black arrow. I just think black and pink goes so well together.

Don’t forget to upload your layout to the Bramble Fox Facebook group to be in the change to win £15 to spend in the shop.
xoxo
