LONDON after LOCKDOWN - Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone ! It's September and there's a whole lot of lovely new products in the shop! I'm using the gorgeous London Underground and London Street Signs perspextives soon to be revealed this week! In the background you can see I've used Fox Die#10 of the City Map. I also used the very first Fox Die #1 creating a black slide frame and ticket. The large black London perspextive is still available from the London Set and the red underground sign from London Skyline set. I love how older perspextives all coordinate in with current ones too! Great for stashbusting.

As soon as lockdown was officially over we decided to go to London and take some photos of London being deserted as I felt we would never see London like this again. We had a wonderful day out and I've been meaning to scrap the pictures ever since and this was the perfect time with these latest perspextives. I chose specific photos which matched the titles on the perspextives.

This layout started off very differently but I am pleased with the final result, I made three pieces from Fox Die #10 which I used behind the photos as a street map background. I then arranged the top four photos and embellished around them. I stamped some tickets in black ink.

I added the Westminster Underground sign and an older geo tag perspextive.

I then attached the black London perspextive as a title in the middle and added After Lockdown in letter stickers to complete the title.

In my stash I noticed the red camera from the May Fox Box which was a perfect colour for the layout so added it on!

I had the most fabulous pictures from Piccadilly so was pleased to see a Street sign for both Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street! I arranged the photos as before over the die cut street map and embellished with more of the stamped tickets. I also printed some London Street map pages and then made some tags to use as embellishments. Being so literal at times as I am, I used areas from the maps for the tags which were associated with the photos!

To the right side of the layout I felt it was a bit empty, so used more of the street maps which I'd printed. I tore the pages into strips and then layered them across. I created another map tag and added another ticket stamp and then placed the Baker Street Underground perspextive over the top.

Finally I added some very old Paperchase London Bus and Postbox puffy stickers and used distress oxides to make blue paint for splatters over the edges of the layout.

I hope you will feel inspired by this layout to use old and new perspextives together and to create some of your own embellishments.

Till next time ... Happy Scrapping!
