Holly Days | Antonia Sherlock
Hello, Crafty Friends, it’s Antonia here today to share my layout inspired by our very sparkly December challenge!
Just to remind you of the challenge details:
This layout is quite an unusual Christmas layout for me, using a lot of non-traditional Christmas colours and hardly any paper ephemera pieces.
The photo is of a dress made from evergreen branches and royal blue and mauve ribbon and fabric pieces. I was so inspired by this dress, I really wanted to translate it into the embellishing of the layout.
So, I chose a large wreath design in a bright bluish-green shade for the background and added some small die-cut branches in three different shades of green. I used a Bramblefox die set to cut some star clusters from an ombre blue glitter card and created three embellishment clusters with these.
I added some holly perspextives to the clusters, and some green luxury stars. I completed the layout with a white title perspextive, which went perfectly with the evergreen theme, and popped beautifully against the rich greens and blues.
As a finishing touch, I added white splatters to the layout, just to draw the attention to the photo and to the title.
I hope you like my layout… just to recap, the three sparkly items are the glittery die-cut star embellishments, the holly berries, and the luxury mirrored stars. To see how it all came together, you can find my process video here. Hope you all have a Holly Jolly Christmas!
