Hello Spring Time| by Josefine vd Hoeven

Hello Paperlovers,

Welcome to the Bramble fox blog today! I'm so happy you stopped by. I'ts Josefine here to talk about this Spring Time""mixed media layout. The intention was to create a Spring happy feeling!

I took a white cardstock sheet 12x12 and I started stamping a large butterfly. I stamped the butterfly with distress Oxide. The color I used is "worn lipstick." I put the ink on my large butterfly stamp and spray a little water on it to create a watercolor look on the background.

I take my brush and with some water I let the color fade.

I mix some distress oxide ink with some water and make watercolor splashes with my brush for a more festive look.

I placed some yarn on my mixed media background and on top of that I placed my photo. But first I cut some design paper to size and place it behind the photo. This way I create more layers in my layout.

Now I start decorating this Spring layout. I cut out some twigs and leaves and place them around the photo. I cut some flower petals from the design paper using a metal dies and curled the petals. I glued the petals together to create a 3D flower. I make three flowers (light blue, light green and light yellow) and give them a nice spot on the layout.

For the title I use the beautiful perspextives "Spring Time" Love the yellow color so much! It's a great addition to my layout. I also use the soft pink butterflies perspextives on this layout.

Then I decorate the layout with some die-cuts and wood veneer. With my sewing machine I stitched the borders.

I love how my layout turned out.

I hope you got some great ideas and wish you a very happy and creative day!

Hope to see you again next time!

xoxo,

Jo
