Happy Days!
Hi everyone! it's Wendy here with my third layout for April and I am showcasing some of the upcoming May FoxBox perspextives and new products for May as well as the Happy Days perspextive from the April Fox Box. I have also used the very first Fox Die #1 for the frames and shaker pocket.
I chose my colours for the layout to go with the beer bottles in the photo! The photo was a real Snapshot in time when we were out on a boat trip in St Lucia which made the title perspextives also perfect for the layout.
I started with a mixed media background using broken china and mustard seed distress oxides. ( I actually find photographing yellow always goes a slightly duller colour than the bright yellow on the layout)
I am still trying to use up older stash and so used a combination of Pinkfresh Studio Let's Stay Home and Some Days collections.
I wanted to place the SNAPSHOT perspextive towards the top of the layout to make it stand out so I placed the photo along side. I cut strips of paper from the collections and machine sewed them onto the card stock.
I matted the photo and then used the Polaroid Die to cut a frame which I mounted the photo in. I used the anchors from the dies along with a camera charm and tied them with waxed string to the bottom of the photo, I then added a couple of punched tabs above the photo and cut the banner and tickets as well from the die set. I dotted these around the left side of the layout and raised some of sticky fixers.
I then cut the slide mount frame and it was the perfect size to place the SMILE perspextive in and added it alongside the photo.
I also added some of the (soon to be in the shop )small perspextive triangles onto the paper strips!
I then considered the right side of the layout and added more vertical strips, more in yellow to coordinate with the yellow HAPPY DAYS perspextive from the April Fox Box. I made a tag in blue and mounted the Happy Days onto it. I then used the cut apart sheet from the Some days collection and added the ticket below.
I also created a little shaker pocket using the Slide frame and positioned it above the tag. I placed a couple more of the triangles to the top of the vertical strip on the right side.
I really enjoyed making this layout and love the brightness of the perspextives.
If you don't subscribe to the monthly FoxBox maybe now is the time to take a look!
