The brand-new Groovy collection from Bramble Fox is super fun and super cool, with a groovy 70's vibe perfect for documenting this fun picture of me and my Bible study friends out for dinner. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

The Groovy Friends pack has two titles, "Groovy" and "Friends" that coordinate together, but I decided to pair one title with some letter stickers so I could save the other title for a second layout (because I'm frugal like that!). I also used the Groovy Things pack, which is full of retro-inspired Perspextives, and the Groovy Paper Snips 073, which is filled with 70's-inspired motifs.
If you buy the Groovy Bundle, you'll get all three of these items, plus the awesome Flower Power Stencil 116. I had a lot going on with all the groovy elements I wanted to use, so I decided to use the Distressed Sunburst Fox Cut Stencil #101 instead. The colors in the striped paper coordinated well with the colors in the Groovy Bundle, except for the green, so I used Sage Green Distress Ink to tie in that color.

Jen Hadfield's Flower Child collection pairs nicely with the Groovy Collection. I used the striped, floral, and grid patterns from the Flower Child collection and some other patterned paper scraps from my stash to tie the two collections together.

The Filmstrip was created with Fox Dies #14 and a brownish-purple cardstock that matches some of the detailing in the Paper Snips. I love that the Perspextives in the Groovy Things pack have a variety of colors and finishes. I adhered some of the Paper Snip icons with pop dots for lift, and I added an Epoxy Sticker to the circular element for added dimension, texture, and shine.

How fun and iconic are the VW bus and Rolling Stone logo from the Paper Snips?

Here's one last detail shot from my layout. I found a smiley face charm in my stash, also a classic icon from the 70's, and I added a red tassel to the twine to tie in with the other red details on my layout. I sprinkled some of the cool curved diamond shapes from the Groovy Paper Snips and Groovy Things pack in several parts of my layout to create a visual triangle.

You don't have to be a child of the 70's like my friends and me to use the Groovy collection! Groovy is perfect for scrapbooking adventures, festival memories, or celebrating carefree moments with friends. I hope I've inspired you to check Groovy out! Be sure to take a look at the Groovy Bundle, which includes all of the Groovy elements at a discount.
