Game Night Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Debbi Tehrani

Scrapbooking your game nights just became more fun with Bramble Fox's brand-new game-themed Perspextives! I was excited to use these new products to scrap this adorable picture of my friend's daughter playing a game. Please note that the products look a bit larger on my layouts because I scrap 8 x 8.

I think the title font is perfect--it's bold and casual and just plain fun. The color is really cool--neutral to go with any colors and with a fun, subtle shimmer. This title from the Game Night set also comes with a fun assortment of Perspextives shaped like game pieces, including several Monopoly tokens. I always add hearts to the layouts I give away, and I found a yellow heart from the Hearts Galore pack in my stash that perfectly matched the yellow game piece in the upper cluster and popped it on top of that title. How fortunate that I found that dice-topped clip that I've had in my stash for nearly 20 years! It was a perfect detail for a game-themed page.

I used the Family Fun collection from Simple Stories and some old Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe papers to back a Paper Issues pie chart cut file that I thought would resemble a game spinner. An old watch hand I found in my stash doubled as the spinner arrow.

The Diamond Background Fox Cut Stencil #84 has the perfect vibe for a game-themed layout. I brushed three coordinating colors through the stencil: Barn Door Distress Ink, Fossilized Amber Distress Ink, and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide. Bramble Fox's Blending Brushes are perfect for detailed stenciling and using different color inks. I added an embellishment cluster in the top corner with some elements fussy-cut from some of the Family Fun papers, a diecut, brads, and a couple of Perspextive tokens from the Game Pieces pack, which contains a wonderful assortment of Chess pieces, board game tokens, playing card suits, and money symbols that would be great for gambling pages (or even shopping pages).

I also added a cluster beside the bottom left corner of the photo, with similar items. The fun little monsters were sort of an afterthought. If you've read my blog posts, you know that I always leave my layouts overnight before calling them done. In this case, I decided I needed a bit of whimsy to go with that delightful photo, and I found these colorful monster stickers in my stash. That bright yellow monster was the perfect thing I needed to create a visual triangle with the yellow heart and game piece.

One last Bramble Fox item that I added to my layout is this "super" tab from the Office Elements Fox Dies #22, a must-have die for your collection. All the elements in this die set are very versatile and add eye-catching details to your pages.

I hope I've inspired you to document your family's game-playing fun! Be sure to check out all the other new goodies in the shop. Please share your creations with us by tagging us on Instagram and by adding your creations to our Bramble Fox Friends Facebook Group.

Until next time, have fun scrapping!
