Fun Times!

Hi Everyone! It's Wendy here on the blog and I can't believe we're half way through November and Christmas is just around the corner! This month I have decided to show case some more of the Christmas goodies you can find in the shop.

I have used the Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks Collection for this Christmas layout. The colours co ordinated perfectly with the red and green perspextives.

Last year in December when we were back to only meeting in the garden, a few friends popped round and we had such a great evening with so much laughter with the blow up photo frame and Christmas props. I knew immediately that the Christmas Hat perspextives from the Hat's Off pack would be perfect to document this unusual time.

I made a mixed media background using distress oxides and gold spray. Then I matted the photo and positioned it centrally and added the hat perspextives over the hats in the photo.

I loved the mirrored star perspextives so decided I would make some stars as the feature of the layout. I used a die to cut several different sizes of stars in the red and green papers from the collection. I distressed their edges and then machine stitched around them all with gold thread.

I played around with all the stars I had made until I was happy with their position and the attached them overlapping each other and behind the photo. I used sticky fixers behind some to give some more dimension the the layout.

The I added the green and red luxury star perspextives over the layout.

I tried to coordinate the stars to the colours of the paper.

I then tucked in a couple of tags and some embellishments from the collection .To finish off the layout I added some gold splatters and the gold letters for the title.
