FREEZIN SEASON! - Wendy Meffan

Hi Foxy Friends! It's Wendy here with my first blog post of 2022, and I'm using the Freezin Season perspextive along with those cute little penguin perspextives from the January foxbox . I have also used the Mini Pine tree perspextives and Foxcut Stencil #26 which is a Snowflake. design. The Freezin Season was the perfect perspextive for these Ski photos of one of my sons which I found whilst having a sort out during lockdown.

I have used a collection of stash ranging from new to old, the background paper was from the November Hip Kit Club kit but ,most of the ephemera and other embellishments are quite old as I'm trying to use up stash! The background paper I cut into all the individual pieces and then distressed the edges, I changed out a piece on the left side as the colours in the paper were yellow and green and they didn't go with my colour scheme! I attached them all to a piece of 12x12 white card stock. I then used Fox Cut #26 with Nuvo Glimmer paste to add snowflakes to the background.

I matted both photos and added them to the layout where the pattern lines converged to draw your eye to them having placed a piece of netting underneath them. I made three tags which I distressed and tucked under the photos, I then placed the Freezin Season perspextive to the right of them along with a cut out snowflake and a mini pine tree perspextive.

Above the photos I made a small cluster using older stickers. i added a line of pompoms down the side of the photo along with a Winter sticker.

I knew I wanted the little penguin perspextives to look like they were playing in the snow so at the bottom of the layout I tore different papers and made a mini winter scene. I ruffed up the torn edges and added sticky fixers under them to give dimension, I then added the glitter paste along the edges for a bit of sparkle. The penguins sat towards the middle on the hills and with the mini pine perspextives behind it made it look like the winter scene.

At the sides I used two chipboard snowmen from my stash. Finally I added silver rhinestone gems along the edges of each portion of the paper and added white splatters using gesso.

I love how this layout turned out and as I've already used this combination of photos twice before with my other two children's pictures i was pleased to create a third layout that `i was equally happy with.

Please do show us your layouts on the Bramblefox Friends Facebook page as we love to see your creativity.

Till next month ...Happy Scrapping!
