Frame Your Stencils - Everyday Stories Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

The March Fox Box is chock full of gorgeous items to document those everyday moments and scrapbook pretty much any photos you've been wanting to scrap. The title pieces in the Fox Box can be used alone or mixed and matched, giving you enough titles to create loads of layouts. I used the "everyday" and "stories" titles, plus the Paper Snips and stencils in the Fox Box Plus to create this lovely layout for a friend. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

These beautiful titles were my starting point. The fonts on Bramble Fox's title pieces are always stunning!

I knew I wanted to use these beautiful layered butterfly stencils (there are 3 different styles of butterflies on the stencil), but my 8 x 8 pages are so small. I came up with the idea of framing the butterflies, so I could fit them on my layout. I started by fussy-cutting frames from a patterned paper in my stash, trimming the inner part of the frames, to hold the photo and stenciled butterflies. I chose the colors from the Paper Snips included in the Fox Box Plus to stencil the butterflies. I added some florals and butterflies from the Paper Snips to some of the frames using pop dots for dimension. The phrase strips are from Vintage Sentiments Paper Snips 055. This must-have Paper Snip has over 100 wonderful generic phrases for any layout. I just ordered a second sheet so I won't run out!

I stitched on a coordinating border to the top and bottom of my layout, digging out a border punch I hadn't used in a while.

Here are a couple more peeks at the beautiful butterflies in the kit. I adhered the bodies with glue dots and added pop dots to the wings to lift them up.

It's hard to see, but I added some ink to the background using the Mini-Brayer to create a subtle mixed-media background. This little brayer is such a handy tool to have!

Here's a look at the other beautiful floral on the Paper Snips sheet. I found a heart to match the title in my Hearts Galore pack. If you've read my blog posts before, you know that I always add hearts to the layouts I give away.

Stitching added a little extra color and texture to the frames. I had some trapped white space beneath the bottom left frame and butterfly, so I added another heart in the form of a pretty flair I made with the Paper Snips and an Epoxy Sticker.
