Focus On The Good Stuff | Rebecca Meadows

Rebecca here with my latest DT layout using the stitching template, Snips and a title from the May Fox Box.

I began this layout by piercing holes through the circle stitching template which is available in the shop.

I drew two guidelines onto the stitching template so that it was easier to pierce the holes. The stitching template is very easy to use and really does help to keep stitching, neat and in line.

I chose some Green thread and did a backstitch to complete the two circles for my background.

Next, I cut strips of paper from Cocoa Vanilla- No Limits as the colours matched the orange camera I wanted to use in the snips #25.

I cut down a photo of my daughter doing triathlon transition training. It was quite a big photo to begin with so I was able to cut it into a square making her and her bike central to the image.

I added the title which is from the May Fox box.

This title is a new favourite of mine.

Morag has done an amazing job of designing this and the word focus has a camera shutter for the 'O'.

I added some gold splatters around the stitched circle, and that is my layout complete.

I do love this sort of design.

It's a great way to use up small bits of leftover paper and the addition of the snips really helps to bring things together and stretch collections.
