Deck the Halls | Terri Morris
Hello December! I've been looking back at my unfinished 6x8 December album from last year and was determined to try and get it finished before I started my 2020 December album. However, I have failed miserably.
Check out the process video here: https://youtu.be/fxa10ztA3vw
The first layout is a full 6x8 page with a patterned paper background documenting our tree from last year. I used the fern tree from Fox Stamp set #2 and Leaf Green Archival Ink to add extra leaves to the bacground paper which is from Crate Paper Merry Days collection.
I used the Presents and Bows perspextives set to add embellishment to this page. I used the large present to create a 'pot' for the chipboard christmas tree. Then the other smaller presents under the tree in the photo to represent presents ready to open on Christmas Day.
I then created a second page for my album with a less traditional festive feel, again using the Crate Paper Merry Days collection.
Again I altered the background paper, this time painting the stars with pearlescent watercolours and then stamping small snowflakes in Watering Can grey ink.
I used snowflakes from the Winter Stars perspextives set, adding small bakers twine bows to co ordinate with the rest of the album.
This layout documents a date night to see Last Christmas, it was a fun night out and a great way to use up some of the wintery and less Christmas themed ephemera.
