December Traditions! - Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It's Wendy here sharing my third layout for November, and this layout is show casing the cute little Stocking perspextives and the Paper Snips #15. I decided to create a Christmas garland effect for this layout as I wanted to hang the stockings! I used Hip Kit Club November kit from last year.

I started with a piece of 12x12 Christmas paper which I gutted to use as a border. I trimmed down a piece of white card stock , distressed the edges and adhered it to the border piece.

To create the Christmas garland I cut several strips of different papers and made them in to pennants. I distressed all the edges and punched eyelets through each one and added them along the strings. Some I added brads to and wrapped the twine around them. I decided to make three rows pegged a photo on each line. Even though my children are grown up they still come in on Christmas morning with their stockings!

Along each row I added word phrases from the Paper Snips #15.

At the beginning and end of the twine I attached a bow. I then added paint splatters along the rows and some sequins to embellish.
