Christmas Layout Using a Scrapbook Sketch | Debbi Tehrani

Bramble Fox not only makes the best scrapbook products, but they create the best sketches for scrapbookers! I paired Perspextives from the fabulous new Festive Collection with a sketch shared in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook Group to create this happy Christmas layout. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

Here's the sketch I used. You can see I made a few changes, like using 2 photos, but generally stayed true to the sketch. I love all the banners in the sketch--it's such a fun way to use many different patterned papers.

My starting point was the Family Feast title, which also comes with a second title that I used in my recent Falala layout. I just love the color of this piece, and it complements Crate Paper's Busy Sidewalks collection and the trees from the Christmas Elements pack. Instead of going literal with the title, as I didn't have any Christmas meal pictures, I just added a subtitle to create a whole new meaning of the title.

The tabs and word strips were cut from two Christmas-themed Paper Snips: Festive Snips 050 and Festive Fun Snips 015. I stitched around the edges of the banners to give them more texture and interest.

I topped some of the trees from the Christmas Elements pack with Shiny Stars to add some glitz and glitter. This pack comes with a generous handful of stars in a variety of sizes with different colors and dazzling finishes, from mirrored to glittery to shimmery.

I used a border template to create the border at the bottom of my layout and added a red pearl brad and some baker's twine to coordinate with the twine at the top of the banners.

Finally, I created a sweet cluster in the bottom right using some die cuts from the Busy Sidewalks collection, a glittery red Shiny Star-topped tree from the Christmas Elements and a red truck, also from the Christmas Elements pack. And since I always add hearts to the layouts I give away, I adhered white hearts from the Monochrome Hearts pack. I sprinkled a few gold star stickers on the background as a finishing touch.
