Cherish These Moments By Rebecca Meadows
Scrapbooking is all about documenting the important moments in life, telling our stories through photos, journalling and embellishments.
I have incorporated sewing into my layout today, adding a tactile dimension and additional interest.
I have used a mix of products from the February’s Fox Box+
Feb FB - Cherish and Arrows.
Snips #52
Stencil #88 - Falling Hearts
I began by cutting a large rectangular piece of patterned paper.
The paper that I had chosen was quite pale and seemed a little lost against my white background, so I backed it with black cardstock giving a better contrast.
I did the same with my photo then using reposition glue, I added it to my layout.
Next, I used Stencil #88 to ink hearts around my photo and a few at the bottom which will form part of a cluster.
Using a die, I cut hearts from patterned paper and again used reposition glue to add them to my layout.
I often use reposition glue so that I can prep and plan a layout giving myself the opportunity to try different elements and move them easily around the page until I feel I have the correct positioning.
I used a paper piercer to poke holes around two of my hearts then used a duck egg coloured thread to chain stitch around them.
Once my sewing was complete, I glued down my photo and the remaining hearts. I added the ‘Cherish’ title which is from the Feb Fox Box and has been cut in a beautiful blossom colour.
There are also arrow fetti in the Fox Box which worded that can be used to extend the titles, so my title reads ‘ Cherish these moments’
I die cut Snips #52 using Fox Die #16 adding Epoxy to make flair pieces which I love the look of.
This completed my layout.
Thanks for joining me today.
