Beautiful: Scrapbook Layout From a Sketch | Debbi Tehrani

Scrapbook Sketches are a wonderful source of inspiration for creating layouts. When I saw this sketch shared on Marvelous Monday in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook group a couple of weeks ago, I fell in love and knew I just had to use it for my next layout! I used the gorgeous pink "Beautiful" title and the Fern Foliage, both new Perspextives in the shop, and the Brick Wall Fox Cut Stencil #49 to create this lovely layout. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my pages.

And here's the awesome sketch I used. I used Echo Park's Salutations No. 1 collection, which is a beautiful complement to the Bramble Fox products.

The  Beautiful title's script font is so fanciful and pretty! I started my layout by creating a background, first using the Mini Brayer and three colors of watered-down Distress Oxides: Antique Linen mixed with Spun sugar to create a color similar to the title and Bundled Sage. Next, I used Brick Wall Fox Cut Stencil #49 with abandoned coral, which picked up the lines in the flower stickers and also the red sash on my friend's daughter's dress. I machine-stitched a rectangle, like in the sketch.

The sketch has two photos but I was scrapping just one picture, so I used a sticker with a quote in place of a second picture. I matted both my photo and the sticker similarly to add cohesion. I cut a label from Paper Snips #066 in half so I could tuck it behind both the photo and the quote. I always add hearts to the layouts I give away, and I found a coordinating heart from the Hearts Galore pack to add to the quote block.

I added floral clusters like in the sketch, fussy cutting flowers from an Echo Park paper and adding gorgeous fern fronds from the Fern Foliage pack, which has 8 beautiful fern pieces in two colors and 8 coordinating butterflies and dragonflies, so you'll have enough pieces for many layouts! Some pink pearls add pretty shimmer.

Here's a look at the bottom cluster. I used a phrase from Paper Snips 064. You can see there's a slight sparkle finish on the pieces in the Fern Foliage pack as well as the Beautiful title.
