After the Rain! - Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It's Wendy here sharing my second layout for March using the April Fox Box Plus perspextives and Fox Cut Stencil #59 and Paper Snips #020. Such a fabulous Box this month. I also used the Scallop border and some fabric clouds.

I absolutely love the Rainbow Stencil and this was the start point of my layout. Initially I used distress oxides and created a mixed media background, and stencilled the rainbow centrally and then use my favourite colours to paint it. I decided to contrast the dots in yellow to coordinate with the yellow Sunshine and sun perspextives. Having coloured the rainbow I used the scallop border edge and created a triple layer of scallops underneath.

I added a square photo either side of the rainbow showing the contrasting the weather which was basically my theme as I wanted to document how the weather could change so quickly. I embellished around each of the photos using mini tags and the cute umbrella, clouds and sun perspextives. I used Paper Snips #020 and an older set for some of the words around the photos.

Having created the central design across the page, I felt the page need borders top and and bottom so tore large paper strips and attached them above and below. I added the fabric clouds to the top layers.

I then added a small floral cluster at the bottom to balance the layout.

I hope you will be inspired to combine different month's perspextives and products on layouts together. It's always good to keep using up stash as then there's room for more!
