Sports DAY! | Giselle Homer

Hi Fox friends, I'm back with my layout for September and I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by!

This month's Fox Box included some mix and match title builders, including this 'Day' Perspextive which I had in black. It's so striking that as soon as I saw this photo I knew it would work to capture the excitement of my Grandson and his best friend on sports day.

I started the layout by adding two shades of green paint using the packaging technique. Then I splattered some paint in the same two colours and added some yellow.

I had seen some layouts that made a feature of large titles by using different typefaces, so I thought I'd give it a go! And I knew that I needed to use alphabet stickers that were smaller than the Perspextive in order to give it pride of place.

I played around with the styles and sizes of the typefaces until I found an arrangement that worked. I made sure that the Perspextive would slot in at the end of the phrase.

To ensure the prominence of the Perspextive, I cut out a star burst in red to go behind it, I love how it makes it into a stand-out feature. And I drew around it for even more emphasis.

I backed the photo with a number of different patterned papers and added it to the right of my typeface arrangement.

Then I raided my embellishment collections to find suitable puffy stickers, chipboards, words and shapes to add along the right hand side of the photo. And the 'V for victory' sticker fitted well in the space on the left of the title.

I was pleased with how it looked and, by keeping each element small, they didn't detract from the Perspextive even when grouped together. I used black number stickers for the date and called it a day.

I look forward to seeing some of your layouts using Perspextives from September's Foxbox on our Facebook page. Until next month and (dare I say it?) some Christmas planning, happy scrapping everyone.
