Out & About | Vicki Parker
Hi friends, it's Vicki here today with my last layout from the June Fox Box. I have wanted to use this globe cut file from Paige Evans for the longest time and I finally had my chance with this Perspextive. The compass comes in black, but the 'Out & About' was originally blue, so I spray painted it black and you would never know - it turned out so well! I lightly sanded it first so that the paint had a better chance of sticking, so I would recommend doing that if you are going to try this.
I cut the globe on one of Paige Evan's Horizon papers (the patchwork one) and before I stuck it down on foam, I used the packaging technique on the background with some blue watercolour to give the impression of sea. Because the background is so busy, I went really light on embellishing and let the Perspextives be the main event!
I did layer the photo a little and added a frame from the Crate Paper All Heart collection on top just to frame myself in the photo and a pair of sunglasses from the same collection.
I was in Barcelona when the photo was taken, so that was my 'subtitle'. I was really happy with how it came together, it shows that all supplies are versatile, if something is the wrong colour for your project, you can change it up.
Thanks for looking - I hope you find some inspiration from it. Until next month....
