Scally Wag starburst layout

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using the gorgeous dog themed perspextives in the store. I made this layout only a few days before we said goodbye to our gorgeous little Bubbles, so this is very poignant for me. She was a ray of sunshine and gave us such love, that I thought she should have a sunburst layout!

I started by taking a mix of papers from Carta Bella and Pinkfresh and teaming with some coordinating cardstock. I cut a template for the wedges and cut out 10 pieces in different colours and arranged them around in a circle. I stuck them down lightly and then stitched them to the page using a zig zag stitch on one edge of each wedge. After doing this I realised that I wanted to put some mixed media around and on the edges, so I just lifted the edges up a little and using my paintbrush painted slightly around each and on the edges of some before adding some splatters with some Prima Opal Magic paints which are lovely and shimmery. All that was left to do then was embellish the page with some stickers and florals and also matt the photo with some more of the papers. The perfect finishing touch was the perspextive which says 'Scally Wag' - it was just right. Here are some more close ups - I hope it inspires you in some way! Thanks so much for looking.
