Documenting December

Christmas is just around the corner. I never have time to do a December daily album, but this year, I thought I might try making a mini album to record our memories.

To create the album, I used 7x5" chipboard which I covered with a really cute good-quality wrapping paper. The pages and embellishments are from a mix of collections - my favourites hoards from over the years.

I layered some die-cut leaves in green and gold. To mute the colours, I dry-brushed them with Gesso first. I love the 'Falala' design - just perfect for the cover.

My first page is made of velum. December 2018 was taken from the Document December set, but it's now available separately here.

The inside cover has items from the December Fox Box to add a little interest. You'll notice that I sprinkled little gold sequins throughout the book to provide some cohesion.

The pages are pretty plain - I need space for photos. I'll add more embellishments etc. when I come to place the photos.

I love little pockets to tuck in tickets and other memorabilia. Those ice skates are one of my favourites from the new winter collection. I even laced the skates using crochet cotton - so cute!

I leave you with some of the details from the rest of the album. I clustered my embellishments so there is plenty of space to finish off with in December.

I hope that I have inspired you to make a little album of your own. We'd love to see what you do - pop along to our Facebook group - Bramble Fox Friends where you can share your projects and inspire others.

Thanks for popping in.
